Junior Camps

If your child is in 2nd or 3rd grade, you have the option of choosing between our Day and Junior Camps. If your 2nd/3rd grader is not yet able to easily shoot on a full height (10′) basket and/or does not yet have the attention span to make it through a full day of basketball camp, they will have much better experience in our Junior Camp. Typically, only more advanced second graders who are already playing in a league that uses 10′ hoops should enroll in day camp. Otherwise they will develop better in Junior Camp!

Junior Camp features shorter daily hours, junior-sized basketballs, and lower hoops — ideal for younger players. 

Kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade (Fall) are perfect for Junior Camp. 

Tuition includes a camp t-shirt, skill instruction, games, and fun basketball activities. 

Yes. If they’re already comfortable shooting on full-height hoops and ready for a long day, Day Camp works well. Otherwise, Junior Camp is a great match. 

Yes. Coaches tailor instruction to skill level and experience so young players are challenged but not overwhelmed. 

Yes — registrations are limited and fill quickly, so early signup is recommended. 

We aim to have one staff member for every eight campers.

Refunds or credits:

• For Excel's Standard Day Camps and Junior Camps, refunds* will be available (up to 72 hours before the start of camp), allowing campers to un-enroll. You can also move to a different session at no charge.*
• Refund requests made in writing (must email to camps@basketballnationusa.com) 24-72 hours prior to the start of camp will be eligible for a full credit towards an upcoming camp (good for one year) or a 80% refund on camp tuition paid.*
• Refund requests made in writing 1 to 24 hours prior to the start of camp will be eligible for a full credit towards an upcoming camp (good for one year from issue date).*
• Refund Requests made less than 1 hour prior to the start of camp, are not eligible for a refund or credit.

*Processing and handling fees are not refundable, regardless of circumstance.

Excel Camp Credits can not be applied to specialty camps (co-hosted camps, player camps, etc).

We do our best to accommodate friend requests (provided the campers are similar age/grade). While we cannot guarantee requests, we always do our best to pair campers together for as many activities as possible.  Please note that pairing campers together for teams (which is only about 10% of the camp day) can be more difficult due to roster size limits (to ensure adequate playing time) and allowing a competitive balance between teams. But, we always do our best!

Friend requests must be made at least 72 hours prior to the start of camp via email to camps@basketballnationusa.com. Requests placed outside of this window cannot be accommodated.
