Joey Hewitt

Joey is a former professional basketball player who has traveled to Australia, England, and Mexico to pursue his basketball career. A graduate of Whitman College, Joey is the winningest player in D3 history with an overall record of 112 wins and only 10 losses over a 4-year span. A 3-time Northwest Conference all-league selection, pre-season All-American, and 1st-team All-Academic student, Joey has excelled both on and off the court.

​In addition, Joey has interned and worked closely with renowned Sports Psychologist Graham Betchart, who has helped Joey and taken him under his wing for the past 5 years. Joey has his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and his Master’s of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University in the UK.

Joey is passionate about the mental game and helping others build confidence, decrease nerves and anxiety, and improve overall performance within sports. As a high-level athlete, Joey offers a unique perspective as a Mental Skills coach as he can relate to clients in a way most Mental Performance Coaches cannot.

With his extensive background in sports psychology and his experience working with athletes at all levels, we are confident that Joey is going to make a significant impact on the lives of many athletes here. His expertise in mental skills training and his commitment to helping athletes achieve their full potential align perfectly with our mission to provide a comprehensive approach to player development.
